Elder Sitati in Oct 2009 Conf: "The gospel has gone forth on the earth in a pattern that ensures that God's purpose to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man are fulfilled." WE may be wrong, but the Church is not.
Anonymous/Sitati: every single thing this Church (in it's large, rambling bureaucracy with many lay people running the show) does may not be correct and yet those things may still bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man. The Church may be wrong but the Gospel of Jesus Christ never is.
"Our Heavenly Father has at different periods in the history of this earth adjusted what he asked of his children because of choices they made" (President Eyring). In my experience, it appears that the overwhelming majority of issues that are brought against the Church (concerning the Church's wrongdoing) derive from a misunderstanding of how this quote from President Eyring corresponds to D&C 88:22-24. Just a thought.
my favorite and so so so TRUE.
